Dr. Brunengraber, known as “Dr. Lisa” to her patients and staff, strives to provide her patients with world-class care. She rejects the one-size-fits-all approach to medicine, and instead works with her patients to make individual treatment plans tailored to their own personal needs. Her interests include general and integrative gynecology, weight loss medicine, sexual health, low libido, menopause, hormone replacement therapy, contraception and family planning, irregular periods, PCOS, abnormal pap smears, and non-surgical management of chronic pelvic pain and endometriosis. She is a proud LGBTQIA+ ally. She welcomes patients from all backgrounds, professions and lifestyles, and all sexual orientations and gender identities. She cultivates a non-judgmental and supportive environment to put her patients at ease. Her patients feel safe, heard, respected, and empowered during their visits.
She has been practicing in Chicago as a Northwestern-affiliated OB/GYN physician since 2014. She trained at Duke University as an OB/GYN resident, and at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She completed the National Institutes of Health’s Clinical Research Training Program during medical school, and she maintains a strong interest in clinical research. In 2023, she will be stopping Obstetrics and prenatal care, to provide more focused care to her gynecology patients.
Dr. Lisa is a board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG), and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). She is a member of the North American Menopause Society, the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health, and the International Society of Cosmetogynecology.
She is proud to be joining the Raby Institute in 2023. She is currently accepting new patients for annual GYN exams, as well as GYN-related problem visits and consultations.
Dr. Lisa loves living in Chicago with her husband and fur-babies. In her free time, she enjoys cycling, running, hiking, cooking, foodie culture, art, indie movies, interior design, and DIY projects. Please feel free to say hi if you see her around town!
