Mallory began her health care provider journey in 2013 when she graduated summa cum laude from Ball State University with a Bachelors in Exercise Science. Mallory continued her education at Northwestern University where she graduated in 2016 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She started her career as an outpatient orthopedic physical therapist working with a diverse patient population treating musculoskeletal and deconditioning injuries. This provided her with a strong opportunity to master her foundational knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and exercise prescription in a challenging but rewarding setting. Shortly thereafter Mallory became a certified lymphedema physical therapist.
After graduating from the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy, she began working with patients suffering from lymphatic system complications, and helping heal individuals with an insightful and heartfelt approach. She is one of the few certified lymphedema physical therapists in the Chicago-land area with a strong knowledge of manual lymphatic drainage, lymphatic compression bandaging, lymphatic exercise prescription, lymphatic kinesio taping, and compression garment/lymphatic pump ordering. Mallory has also worked with the lipedema patient population to gain further awareness of the disease and provide a more comprehensive treatment for her patients. She has had the opportunity to work with patients with impairments such as: chemotherapy related fatigue, peripheral neuropathies, radiation fibrosis, and lymphedema due to lymph node dissection/radiation. Throughout all of her continuing education her orthopedic background has consistently allowed her to be a well-rounded clinician who is able to diagnose beyond lymphedema and look at underlying musculoskeletal impairments.
Mallory brings a high level of energy and personality to the patients she treats. She has a passion for making her patients feel comfortable and welcome at every treatment session. She strives to be a good listener, a compassionate healer, and a mindful clinician. While Mallory is not treating she can be found making the most out of life through being overly invested in her recreational sports teams with friends, trying any food that comes her way, and adventurous excursions with her family.
