Dr. Priyanka Agrawal’s interest in Integrative Medicine started in her childhood where her family used healing modalities based in homeopathy, ayurveda, herbs/spices, yoga therapy along with western medicine in their home. Her osteopathic training strengthened her desire to be able to provide a more holistic, preventative approach to her patients. When she began to see the limitations of practicing only western medicine early in her career, she pursued an integrative medicine fellowship in order to better serve her patients.
Dr. Agrawal began practicing Integrative Medicine because she believes that the body and mind are a whole system of interrelated parts that work in terms of patterns and not just isolated symptoms. She believes that Integrative Medicine is how healthcare should be practiced – a bridge between western and alternative medicine systems, utilizing the best of both worlds with a multimodal approach to health creation for each patient. She believes that to achieve the highest quality of life, there needs to be a trusting and collaborative patient-physician relationship. She is passionate about partnering with and empowering her patients on their unique health and wellness journey and hopes to serve as their number one advocate on their path of healing.
Dr. Agrawal received her medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University and completed her Family Medicine residency at Loyola MacNeal Hospital. She completed an Integrative Medicine fellowship through the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine. Dr. Agrawal is double board-certified in Family Medicine and Integrative Medicine. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and of the American Board of Integrative Medicine.
Beyond practicing medicine, Dr. Agrawal enjoys traveling, exercise, practicing yoga, and spending quality time with her family and friends. She was born and raised in Chicago and is happy to be back here with her husband and their daughter.
