Susan Gibson
Triage Nurse
Susan grew up in Indianapolis in a very supportive family. She inherited her mother’s empathy for others and her father’s work ethic. Not surprisingly, when it came to choosing a career, nursing was at the top of the list. Susan attended Indiana University where she gained a BS in Nursing. Following graduation, she returned to Indianapolis where she worked as a surgical nurse before taking a break to raise her three children.
Returning to nursing in 2007, Susan spent 11 years as a Post-Op Recovery nurse at the Chicago Prostate Cancer Center, where she discovered a passion for patient education. Susan joined the Raby Institute in 2018 and is extremely grateful for the opportunity to contribute to an outstanding patient care team and pursue a personal interest in holistic medicine. She gets enormous enjoyment from helping her patients achieve “a healthy body, a sound mind and a tranquil spirit” on their road to wellness.
When she’s not working, Susan loves spending time with her family, exploring Chicago and walking on the beach in Michigan with her husband Alasdair and dog Stella.
